Defender rockets are crap. Did you not wonder why no one uses them? Those two defender missile slots you are using are gimping you dps by 200 (with HMLIIs) to 300 (with HAMIIs) dps.
That being said, someone needs to teach you a little something about sig radius and speed. Tengus have a tiny sig radius, and they go fast. This means that A) Battleships have trouble hitting you with their guns and B) Battleship missiles hit you, but at a TINY fraction of their full hitting potential. So by fitting defender missiles you are gimping your dps, and not really improving your tank by anything. You are better served by dropping something from a midslot and putting on an AB in conjunction with the Fuel Catalyst subsystem.
You aren't chewing through ANYTHING with that fit. You might feel like you are, in comparison to your failfit drake, but with at most 4 actual HMLIIs (But I bet you are using HMLI's or a named HML) and without the Accelerated Ejection Bay (The only dps sub you should be using for serious pve) you might be doing 25% of the dps YOU could be doing if you fit the ship properly.
And if you don't beleive me, I will be posting some EFT numbers in a few minutes.
Ok so here are the raw numbers from EFT, with an All level 5 character so we have a stable baseline.
[Tengu, Failfit 1] Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II
Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Target Painter I
Heavy Missile Launcher I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile 'Limos' Rocket Launcher I, Gremlin Rocket 'Limos' Rocket Launcher I, Gremlin Rocket [empty high slot]
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I Medium Core Defence Field Purger I Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding Tengu Electronics - CPU Efficiency Gate Tengu Engineering - Supplemental Coolant Injector Tengu Offensive - Rifling Launcher Pattern Tengu Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier
Hobgoblin II x5
196 DPS, 337 DPS omnitank, rougly 670 dps tank max against the NPCs that you happen to have decent resists for.
Now compare this to:
[Tengu, Failfit 1, Better Tank] Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II
Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Large Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Invulnerability Field I Target Painter I
Heavy Missile Launcher I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile 'Limos' Rocket Launcher I, Gremlin Rocket 'Limos' Rocket Launcher I, Gremlin Rocket [empty high slot]
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I Medium Core Defence Field Purger I Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding Tengu Electronics - CPU Efficiency Gate Tengu Engineering - Supplemental Coolant Injector Tengu Offensive - Rifling Launcher Pattern Tengu Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier
Hobgoblin II x5
Just switching out one of those shield extenders for an invlun I (im assuming you cant use II's) you gain 40 dps on your omni tank, and your maximum tanked damage goes up to about 730 dps. If you switch the invlun for a NPC specific hardener you can improve your tank from mission to mission.
To be continued in the next post, I'm not finished here yet.
Your good and tricky. Both ships you posted look the same. ROFLMAO....
Use the Op's setup and do what I do with the defender rockets and go to a lvl 4 mish, try to get Angels Extravaganza and enjoy the true power...
